This morning in the NY Times there is an article reporting on the recent outburst of persecution of Christians by Hindus in India. Many have been killed, churches and homes have been burnt, and forced conversions under threat of death are being carried out regularly.
The tensions come after a Hindu preacher, who was openly anti-Christian, was killed by Maoist guerrillas. Most of the Hindus blame Christians for his death however.
It is a terrifying reality. I just wanted to share it so that we can remember our brothers and sisters in prayer.
