“One swallow does not make a summer, neither does one fine day; similarly one day or brief time of happiness does not make a person entirely happy.” — Aristotle

“This bud of love, by summer’s ripening breath,
May prove a beauteous flower when next we meet.”
William Shakespeare in Romeo and Juliet, Act 2 scene 2

    That’s great!
The only track I might add would be Springsteen’s “Girls in Their Summer Clothes”.

Hey Marc – James showed me this link and that is a pretty fantab playlist. I’ve heard a handful of those songs, but I’ll have to check the others out. And can I just say that “Boys and Children Sing for Summer” is one of my all time faves!

  5. David Browder says:

Summer of ’75 by Chris Knight is also a pretty good tune.

  6. mike burton says:

Yes, David Browder, an excellent son!

  7. Christopher says:

To quote Paul Westerberg, “I never travel far, without a little Big Star.”
