Are you a Mockingbird fan who loves to read and discuss great literature? Well, we would like to cordially invite you to take part in the 2023 edition of the Mockingbird Zoom Book Club.
This year we’re upping our game and doing things a little differently: We’ve scheduled nine fabulous guest-hosts from the wider Mockingbird community to help guide us as we unpack fascinating works of fiction, theology, and memoir. Each month from March to November, we will have a different guest-host offer a short “expert” reflection on the month’s book, and then guide the discussion for the rest of the hour.
To allow as many participants from different time zones and life situations to join in, we will be scheduling most of the sessions for Sunday afternoons on Zoom at 3:30pm Eastern time (12:30pm Pacific time).
For a full list of books, speakers, and dates, click here.
There is no cost to participate and you can certainly pick and choose which sessions you want to show up for. If you’re not able to finish a particular month’s book but still want to tune in, no worries — we’d love to have you! Mainly, we want you to take part as much as you’re able and inclined.
If you’re interested in any or all of the sessions, please sign up by providing your contact information below. That will put you on the mailing list to receive book club information and reminders for the rest of this year. (You can contact us to unsubscribe at any time.) Feel free to invite your friends to sign up as well!
We look forward to seeing you all soon and conversing with you on Zoom (and beyond). The first session is going to be guest-hosted by our own Dave Zahl on March 26th. Happy reading, folks!
