Welcome to the prime of summer! Hopefully the air where you are is full of the sound of baseball bats and the smell of grilling hot dogs. When the sun starts setting sooner, your grill has gone cold, and exhortative PTA emails start filling your inbox, we have something for you:
Mockingbird’s 2nd Minnesota Conference!
This October 2–3 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN (a first-ring suburb of Minneapolis).
Our theme this time is Grace for the Ages, and we will explore what grace looks like at different stages of life. We’ll hear talks on everything from grace in parenting adult children, lessons from the last third of life, the relief that can come from realistic depictions of imperfect people in middle-grade novels, how a church focused on consolation rather than happiness seeking could benefit a generation of stressed-out young people, how God actually shows up in the young adult years, and more! (I hear they may even be some puppets.)
Our speakers include Andy Root, Gretchen Ronnevik, Paul Zahl, Grace Leuenberger, Melina Smith, Tony Robinson, and more. Click here to view the full schedule.
Also on tap: wonderful music, good food, and plenty of time for fellowship across generations. We’d love to have you join us.
