Nicely done. I have been thinking about how the evangelical folks have lost this notion of what sin really is and this blindness prevents them from seeing our current political situation clearly.

I believe Mr. Serpent says it best, that the sinful seek to “be like God” (Gen. 3:5) as far as individuals, and that as members of society, each individual has necessarily been co-opted by worldly Powers who have lost their sacred vocation, leading each of us to engage (gladly) in activity contrary to God’s will and purpose – Walter Wink and others.
