Rev. Dr. Mark Koschmann serves as Vice President of Faith and Ministry and Chief Mission Officer at Concordia University, St. Paul, where he also chairs the Department of Theology and Ministry. A pastor, theologian, and educator, he has taught courses in Lutheran theology, the New Testament, and Christian mission since joining CSP’s faculty in 2015. His scholarly research explores how Protestant and Catholic congregations navigated the changing urban landscape from the post-World War II era to the present, and he currently studies how Christianity flourished in urban contexts in the New Testament and early church. Dr. Koschmann holds a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University and an M.Div. from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and speaks regularly on Law and Gospel theology and the challenges and opportunities of Christian higher education.
