David Zahl is the founder and director of Mockingbird Ministries, editor-in-chief of the Mockingbird blog, and co-host of The Mockingcast. David and his wife Cate reside in Charlottesville, VA with their three boys, where David also serves on the staff of Christ Episcopal Church. He is a licensed lay preacher in the Episcopal diocese of Virginia, the author of A Mess of Help: From the Crucified Soul of Rock N’ Roll, and the coauthor of Law and Gospel: A Theology for Sinners (and Saints). His latest books, Seculosity: How Career, Parenting, Technology, Food, Politics, and Romance Became Our New Religion And What To Do About It, appeared in 2019, Low Anthropology: The Unlikely Key to a Gracious View of Others (and Yourself), appeared 2022, and The Big Relief: The Urgency of Grace for a Worn-Out World was released this year.
