Parking in downtown Charlottesville can be a little tricky and with over 300 registrations (and counting), you might want to allow a little extra time for finding a spot. The following options are all within walking distance of the church, in order from closest to furthest away:
- The Hill and Wood Funeral Home lot (201 1st St N, Charlottesville VA 22902). Right across from (the back of) the church and open to the public but only if the sign at the entrance is green. If red, please look elsewhere.
- Wells Fargo lot at the corner of East Market St and 2nd St NE. A pay-by-the-hour blacktop, two blocks from the church. Price varies according to time of day and is charged through airgarage.com.
- Market Street Parking Garage (546 E Market St, Charlottesville VA 22902). 24 hour garage. $2/hour or $12/day.
- Albemarle County Office Building (401 McIntire Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22902). The lot is open to the public (free of charge) all day Saturday and from 5pm onward on Friday. Christ Church is a short but somewhat steep walk up the hill.
- Water Street Parking Garage (200 E Water St, Charlottesville VA 22902). 24 hour garage. $2/hour or $12/day.
Important: Please do NOT park at the McGuffey Arts Center or Condominiums next to the church.
