Mockingbird / 6.21.18

In this talk from our recent conference in NYC, Mockingbird writers Charlotte Getz and Stephanie Phillips attest to how God disrupts our lives—and rescues us from ourselves. Featuring life jackets, stretchy pants, and a warm sense of humor, there’s never been a Mockingbird talk quite like this one.

Y’all seriously crack me up. As I listened to this, my 7 year old is screaming “Jaxon(9) just pinched my butt 3 times really hard!” while my 4 year old is still in her droopy Hulk smash nighttime pull up at 1:54 pm, telling me “I want corn that looks like rainbow” over and over and over. I could not relate more to the fact that my need for God became the greatest when these precious little hood rats were given to this flaming hot mess to keep alive. Im so glad I found Mockingbird a few years ago while I was barely keeping my head above water, which is where I still stay most days.
