OH, MY GOODNESS! My parents bought me “Elevator” by The Rollers for my 12th birthday. It was an accident. They were supposed to get me The Bay City Rollers Greatest Hits.
I became obsessed with this record in the 6th grade and it is still very, very dear to me. I found a second used LP copy of it ten years or so ago and then it was finally reissued on CD a few years later. I picked a copy of that up too.
The Bay City Rollers grow up…into a mix of Cheap Trick and Electric Light Orchestra. Who would have guessed?
What a lovely surprise to see a tune from that very album here on this playlist!
Yay!!!!
Thanks for sharing, Chris – that makes my day. I’m really enjoying the record. Richocet too. Almost put “Hello and Welcome Home” on there but “I’m Eleven” felt like a great opener.
