    I think this is more of an Isaiah 53:2-type image: “he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
    nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.”

    This hit me instantly. At this point, the alien robot appears to be trying to explain a ‘low anthropology’ to his evangelical leaning friends because that’s the same reaction I got (sans the pineapple hat)
