    That Athlete song is absurdly over the top in all the right kind of Britpop-melancholy-anthemic ways. Destined to play at the climax of some 2010 rom-com, i have no doubt.

    The Cher song is true rarity – still only available on 45, one of Spector's only mid-70s productions and like everything he touched during that period, more than a little macabre/funereal.

    And in case you were wondering, I am pretty sure that the subject of Costello's 'Just Another Mysetery' is Bela Bartok.
